ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
Perched on the edge of a wooded rocky hillside, overlooking a small inlet to the Batova River, this self-catering cottage provides some breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and the green pastures, stretching out on the facing slopes. Its rural location, not far from the sea and the City of Varna, has everything to offer to the holiday-makers who wish to stay off the beaten track of traditional seaside areas, and allows for genuine peace and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded tourist resorts, yet in close proximity to the beaches along the Varna coast, it is ideal for families with young children, hikers and nature lovers of all ages.
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION
A private drive running along the edge of the hillside, leads to the garden and parking area in front of the cottage. Lavender Cottage has an interesting fan-like architecture, inventively designed to take full advantage of the hillside views. The hat-like roof incorporates within the structure an old, stone barn, typical of the local old village style. The securely fenced swimming pool is 4x8 m, 1.8m at the deep end, with an attached shallow pool for children and non-swimmers.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Lavender cottage is a newly-built (2005), comfortable and spacious self-catering residence sleeping 8 persons, and incorporating 4 bedrooms (2 double/2 twin) - plainly, but tastefully furnished and all with a view to the wooded hillside and/or the pool; 2 fully-tiled bathrooms with glass door shower cabins, WC and washbasins, a fitted tiled kitchen with an open plan living room, a utility room equipped with a washing machine, a BBQ and a patio areas. Water is heated by a solar panel system, with a back-up immersion heater.
AMENITIES
Amenities include a washing machine; a fully-fitted kitchen; an iron and ironing board, satellite TV and DVD player; the use of an open-air 4x8 m swimming pool and a barbeque. A crib and a child's feeding chair, as well as a car seat (1-4 yrs) and a push-chair (1-2 yrs) are available on request. Wireless Internet access available for laptop holders.
