Velingrad

Velingrad is one of our highly recommended destinations and if you follow our advise you will never regret your visit. This is one of the oldest, most famous and most beautiful Bulgarian spa resorts. The excellent recreational an rehabilitation base, well balanced four seasons, mild climate conditions and the friendly local people make the town suitable for all kind of activities depending on the season.

Velingrad is located at 750-850m above the sea level. The summer here is warm, the winter is mild and the autumn is warm and pleasant. Velingrad offers recreation all the year round and there are lots of modern spa resort facilities, abundance of mineral water springs and wonderful nature conditions. The biggest advantage of the area is that you could rarely experience bad weather conditions, since the percentage of the sunny days come up to about 74%.

There are also marvellous conditions for skiing, no strong winds, neither snow storms in the winter – great development potential. There are six main thermal mineral deposits examined so far- Chepino, Ludjene 1, Ludjene 2, Draginovo and Varvarski vani. The temperature of the water is warm and is suitable for everyone. The total number of mineral springs in Velingrad is about 80. The mineral waters are suitable for treatment of a wide range of diseases.
